I’m proudly Gen X—a generation often defined by our rebellious spirit, edgy style, and unwavering commitment to non-conformity. As a teenager and young adult, I was the poster child for this ethos. But beneath that exterior, I was always driven by a different kind of fire: the determination to carve out a career that mattered.
Motivated by the realities of economic uncertainty and the weight of student debt, I was serious about responsibility and advancement. I chose a creative path in an industry that was rapidly modernizing, where I found myself on the bleeding edge of technology innovation in graphic design and its integration into the agency world.
I became a tech and operations leader, eventually leading IT operations for a multinational company at just 29. Looking back, I sometimes still can’t believe the journey I took.
